Let's ban the private jets of the Hollywood eco-phonies like John Travolta, U2, Coldplay, Oprah and Jennifer Aniston who fly all over the place and spew tons of pollutants into our atmosphere ... attending benefits and conferences to raise money to combat pollutants being spewed into our atmosphere!! (All the while owning 5 homes each with massive heating and AC demands.) I guess the rules aren't for Al Gore and Hollywood, they're for the little people.

SezMe, ToneFloat: You're proving my point with your debate. Your selective statement, citing unsubstantiated facts is incorrect. There are a substantial number of qualified scientists on both sides of the debate. Care to discuss abortion or gun control?

Bill, there IS no debate amongst scientists and people who have studied the data, other than a few fringe efforts. 99% of scientists agree that global warming is anthrpogenic, 1% disagree...amongst the public, about 60% disagree. This is because of a willingness to believe the same kind of astroturf organisations and PR groups that worked so hard to convince us the smoking didn't cause cancer.

"The mere fact that this is still a debate among scientists ..."
--Bill

The mere fact that Bill chooses to ignore the overwhelming scientific consensus is merely a fact. Good thing it's not an important one.
