Those who throw the socialist tag around so freely need to think back in time a bit . Privatizing profits and socializing risk has been a Reagan / Bush specialty .for decades . The S&L scandal of the early 80’s is a case in point . It was the biggest fleecing of American taxpayers in history to that point in time . What was not ” socialist” about us pcking up the tab for that debacle which sprung its roots in the Republican fervor for dereg of financial markets ?

If the Republicans had used their time more wisely while in full control , and done anything , anything at all , to address this critical issue perhaps we wouldnt be in this position now . We may end up with a bad bill and the right will share the blame for inaction and poor priorities .

I am embarrassed by Lois and her actions. I am more embarrassed that I actually voted for her twice. She is a nice woman, but terribly out of her league in politics. She will do as told by the DNC without question.

Lois Capps is a joke. The bigger joke is that we, the voters of this congressional district, keep re-electing her. We can debate her usefulness (or lack thereof) until the cows come home. The more important question is what in the world do the majority of voters see in her!?
